Belper is not a town where a standard re-roof specification works. Much of it sits inside the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, and the gritstone terraces the mill owners built, the Clusters among them, are steeply pitched and covered in Welsh slate. That brings conservation area considerations, and it usually means slate has to be matched or reclaimed rather than swapped for something cheaper.
