We work out of Derby and cover Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and across into Staffordshire as far as Burton upon Trent and Uttoxeter. If you are just outside that it is still worth asking.
For a full re-roof or most chimney work, yes, and it is a legal requirement rather than an upsell. Smaller repairs can often be done from ladders or a roof ladder.
Yes. Garages, workshops, units and commercial flat roofs are all work we take on, and we can plan around your opening hours where that matters.
A straightforward semi detached re-roof is usually a few days once the scaffold is up. Bigger or more complicated roofs take longer, and weather can move things. We give you a realistic timescale rather than an optimistic one.
Most roofing work carries on through the winter. What we will not do is lay mortar in a hard frost, because it will fail, so pointing and bedding sometimes has to wait for a break in the weather.
Yes, and it happens regularly. Plenty of roofs we are called out to have years left in them and need a repair rather than replacing.
We show you, with the roof open, before anything is covered back up. Replacing a length of rafter is a normal part of re-roofing an older house and we would rather price it honestly than hide it.
Yes. Skips, stripping out and disposal are all part of the job and are included in what we quote you.
Get more than one quote, and make sure each covers the same thing. A cheap price that leaves out scaffolding, new membrane or disposal is not really the cheaper price.
Usually. Clay and slate often clean up and go back on. Where tiles need replacing we match as closely as the range allows, and on a conservation area property we will source properly.
